Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez was born in Mexico. She is an American Mexican actor. Also, she sings. Sara Ramirez was brought up with her American mother. She was subjected to a variety of racist taunts that led her to feel unwelcome. As she entered the 9th grade she felt more secure after being praised by her teachers for her performance at school's audition. The singer not only gained confidence through the audition and gained experience, but also changed her plans for her career. She graduated at the age of 22 with a degree from Julliard School in New York. In the year 23 she began her career making her first appearance on Broadway in Paul Simon's The Capeman and in films with You've Got Mail. Her greatest break came in her role as The Lady of The Lake as she appeared in the first Broadway adaptation of Spamalot. She won the Tony Award and received great appreciation for her performance. Her fame grew by appearing on Grey's Anatomy on ABC as Dr. Callie Torres. She is also a known performer and has produced an extended show. In addition, she's an activist who fights to protect LGBT rights.
