Keerthy Suresh (born 17 October 1992) is an Indian actress, who is primarily in Tamil and Telugu film, as well as to a few Malayalam films. She received the National Film Award's Best Actress award for portraying Savitri as the lead actor in the Telugu Film Mahanati (2018). The film also won three SIIMA Awards were also given to her. She also received an Filmfare Award South. Keerthy Kumar's parents include film producer G. Suresh Kumar & actress Menaka G. Suresh. Her early career was as a children's actress. Then, following a course in fashion design, she returned to acting. Her first big role in Geethaanjali (2013) in an Malayalam feature film. She went on to star in successful films such as Ring Master (2014), Rajinimurugan (2016), Remo (2016), Bairavaa (2017), Nenu Local (2017), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Mahanati (2018), Sarkar (2018), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Penguin (2020), Miss India (2021), Good Luck Sakhi (2022) and Sarkaru Vaari Paata (2022). Keerthy made her debut on Tamil projects in the year 2015. She then began to accept projects outside of Malayalam. Her first film release was A. A. Vijay's romantic comedy Idhu Enna Maayam (2015), opposite Vikram Prabhu, though the film was not a success in the theater. Her busy schedule throughout 2015 meant that she had choose to stay out of movies that she was already working on, including Krishna's Maane Thaene Paeye and Deekay's Kavalai Vendam, in order to make room for larger projects. In the following years, she was working on Rajini's Remo with two short film. Additionally, Dhanush and she played as the main characters on Prabhu Solomon's Thodari. The movie's release was delayed in 2015 and now is expected to take place after September of 2020. It will have a different title Janakitho Nenu. The film's debut came out as Nenu Sailaja in the year 2016 starring the actor Ram Pothineni. Keerthy made her debut in Bairavaa with Vijay director Bharathan.
